My mom and I got up a little later than we planned on Friday April 5th and headed to Bettendorf, IA to visit with my cousin, his wife and kids for a little while before continuing on to Exira, IA. This rest area is in Iowa, Johnson County. The entire rest area is fashioned around books, education and corn. There were stacks of books that served as columns and along the walls there were books as shown in this picture. The picnic areas were fashioned after old time school houses.

Iowa Rest Area
